Here we go....

It's official!  I am in labor and writing a post between contractions.  I have contacted my doula (birth coach), Xelina, and she has assured me that everything I am feeling is normal.  I believe my water has broken, too.  I probably have a slow leak versus the gush that most movies portray!

Everything started around 2AM this morning when I woke up from a contraction.  As I was walking to the bathroom, I thought that I might not have made it in time, but turns out it was clear!  I have been having inconsistent contractions since then.  If I am walking around, the contractions seem closer together.  If I lie down, they tend to stretch out more.  Regardless, they are getting stronger each time!

The last three weeks, I have been having braxton hicks contractions, which I thought were hard at times......yeah, whatever....THESE are real contractions!!  While braxton hicks were similar to cramps, these feel like someone is wringing out my insides!  Being in the sitting position is THE worst! During contractions I either lie on my side or walk around.

Tony is running around the house cleaning and finishing all his home improvement projects.  You can tell he is nervous!
