Home from the Hospital

On Friday, May 4th, our doctors cleared us to go home.  Typically, we would have had to wait another day, but Gabby's weight and breathing were great, and my doctor was impressed with my recovery!

Tony got a little bored while we were waiting for the them to get our paperwork finished:

Finally, we were able to leave!  The "Blue Birds"  (volunteers) helped us pack our things and wheeled us out.

Wow, car seats are complicated.  It felt like it took forever to figure out how to buckle her in!  It felt amazing to get in the car and drive away.  I couldn't wait to get home to the comfort of my own house.  People often say that they were nervous leaving the hospital.  Not me!  I couldn't get away fast enough!  It also helped to know my mom would be staying with us and helping out!

We made it home without a single peep from Gabby.  She's such a good baby!
