Gabby is FOUR months!

Gabby had her four month check up with her doctor, Dr. Austin.  Unfortunately, she was sick with a cold/flu and had a temperature.  We got to bypass the vaccines for this visit and will return for the fun in a few weeks!  Gabby is now in the 50th precentile for both height and weight, and she remains in the 10th percentile for her head circumference.  We are so excited that she is growing at a proper rate!

She is starting to surprise us everyday with her new developments.  She has started slobbering A LOT!!  The doctor noticed that her gums are swollen on the bottom, and it looks like there are two teeth starting to come in.  She said it still could be a month or so before they come in.  She loves to grab her feet now and roll to her side.  In fact, she actually prefers to sleep on her side now.

We also started giving Gabby cereal in preparation for solid foods.  We won't start solids until six months, but the cereal teaches them how to swallow.  I believe the last picture tells her how well things are going!

Gabby's Baptism

On August 26th, 2012, Gabriella Marie Lopez, was baptized at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.  Were so blessed to have so many friends and family there to support Gabby on such an important day in her christian life.

Angie, Tony's sister, is Gabby's Godmother.  It is tradition for the Godmother to hold the baby during the baptism.

At this moment, I had tears in my eyes.  Yes, I was moved by such an important day for Gabby, but most of all, I was just happy that she didn't cry!  In fact, Pastor Dan walked her around the congregation and turned around and said, "Let me know if you need a babysitter, she is perfect!".

These are two of Gabby's teachers at her school.  It meant a lot that they came to show their support!

Gabby's Godfather is Justin Chamberlain.  He and his wife, Rachel, are such dear friends of ours.  Justin was the Best Man in our wedding.

Godparents!

Grandma and Grandpa Lopez

With Tony's parents just two miles up the road, we are able to drop in and hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Lopez!  Usually it is on Sundays after church.
